Employment Generation Program made roads open for underprivileged slum women to depict the 'Power of Hand-made' wherein they are handcrafting Diwali Diyas, Natural Soaps and making fragrant Incense Cones.
It helps women realize and develop their true potential to fight poverty and drive continuing even-handed change.
Project Swabhimaan sprouts the entrepreneurial skills and nurtures the leader in underprivileged slum women to achieve our cumulative mission of sustainable livelihood making them decision makers and agents of change. Counseling Sessions gave them an opportunity to listen and share the unheard and silenced life stories of their women beneficiaries.
Life Skills-Based Education, Vocational Training Programs, Talent Enhancement Initiative, Basic English Lessons and Project Khilkhilahat are few of the focus areas for children.
Every Sunday they conduct classes with 40 slum children residing in Akhbarnagar Slums and teach new innovative things so that theycan polish their future according to their talent.
They are planning to start another centre soon with a bunch of 50 kids. This year theycarried out Diya Project with slum women and were even lucky to get selected for
Zindagi Channel Diwali Campaign. This gave them boost and they reached out to 15 states in India and sold their handpainted diyas.
The Pink Foundation is a Non Governmental Organization (Registration number-E/20638/ Ahmedabad) run by a group of professionals facilitating community development initiatives.
It promotes holistic development of marginalized section of society, by adopting an integrated approach with main emphasis on Four Es: - Entrepreneurship, Employment, Education and Empowerment.
Their prime focus is on developing self- dependence in women, children and youth to enable them to lead more effective and satisfactory lives.
They are established with a vision to ensure that the vulnerable communities are empowered, live in dignity by sustaining themselves and improve their economic status by keeping their households secure and resilient. We wish to bring visible developmental change on the ground by achieving sustainable solutions to problems pestering India, through its many health, education, livelihood, vocational training and skill-based programs.
May be they are a small and young organization but they dream BIG! Every second of their life is devoted to nurture and empower the lives of their lovely women whose smiles are carrying a lot of baggage in their hearts.
Her observation says that a woman stands on the four pillars of Dignity, Strength, Compassion and Equanimity. They define her in order to stand and face the world, she can’t compromise on any.
Therefore, her NGO have decided to grow. Grow for the betterment, so that she can reach more women and children and can insert the seed of security and self dignity in every underprivileged family.
She even take pledge and promise to lend a helping hand in their fight against every hurdle and misfortune they face every single day.
